Wet n Wild Megalast Nail Polish Review

Well, I bought some Wet n Wild Mega Last Nail Polish the other day. I've had a chance to play in them and try them out, and this is my review:

Color shown: Disturbia
The actual polishing brush is amazing and was the selling point for me. Every time i try and polish my nails with any other nail polish, i always miss on sides of my nails and when i go back to fill it in, it ends up all over the side of my finger and in the side cuticle. With the manicure type brush on these polishes i was able to get my whole nail polished with out making a full mess. The brush is wider, flat, and has curved edges to it. It fits on the nail and around the cuticle with ease.

The polish did very well in the drying department. With the aid of my freezer it took me about 2 minutes per hand to dry two coat of polish plus a top coat.

Overall I really like the nail polish.  The color pay off was great and the consistency was good too. It easily applied and distributed over the nail well.

The only down side was that the polishes with the larger sparkles where harder to apply. I found that i need to tap the brush on my finger to apply them.

Thanks for Stopping by,

Battle Of the LINERS!!!

Today I'm doing a review/which is better of two liners. Wet n Wild's Fergie Collection Cream liner in Little Black Dress and Ruby Kisses HD Gel Liner in GES01 Rich Black

Left: Wet n Wild Fergie Cream Liner (little Black Dress)
Right:Ruby Kisses HD Gel Liner (Rich Black)
First Glance:
They both had very nice, clean, and sturdy packaging. it seems as if you get more product with the ruby kisses. Wet n Wild's product is in a glass pot while ruby kisses is in a sturdy plastic pot. The design of both are very sleek and easy on the eye.

First up, Wet n Wild's Fergie Collection Cream liner.

Now I must say, I am a Wet n Wild Fanatic!! Love their prices, products, and promotions!! I, in my opinion, believe that they are really on the rise with enhancing their product and are making a mark in cosmetic trends with their pricing, packaging, and new quality.

Soooo... Back to what I'm supposed to be talking about...

The Fergie Collection cream liner, I absolutely LOVE!! Here's my checklist why:

Staying power : Yes. Baby wash and warm water....NO BUENO!! Needed elbow power...LOL

Opacity: Good. Dark but I needed to put on a few coats to get that jet black I wanted..No biggie tho.

Ease of application: Excellent. Glided right on effortlessly. Great for beginners.

Smudge proof: Yes. Didn't move no matter how much i rubbed.

Finish: Matte, shinny, Cream

Next up, Ruby Kiss HD Gel liner. I feel the same way about ruby kiss that i do about Wet n wild. They have improved their formula and packaging and kept the same great prices that are affordable for every budget.

Here's the checklist on Ruby Kisses:

Top: Wet n Wild Fergie Collection Cream Liner
Bottom: Ruby Kisses HD Gel Liner
Staying Power: Okay. Rubbed off easily with a little warm water.

Opacity: OH YEAH BABY.  It is a rich dark black!

Ease of application: Excellent. Glided on effortlessly

Smudge proof: Yes. I didn't move an inch with rubbing

Finish: Jet black, Matte finish

I love them both and I use them both. I would continue to buy them because they are very good quality and they are very inexpensive for the quality you get!!

Click on the links provided to get to the online retailer of each of the products. If you prefer to buy in stores you can go to these retailers to find them:

Finding Your Signature Look

First, what is a signature look? To me, a signature look is a look that compliments that one thing on your face that you love the most. It could be your eyes, nose, cheeks, lips and etc. It’s a look that you can do perfect in your own right. It’s also a look that can be worn day, night, classy, or casual. For instance Kim Kardashian’s famous for her highlighting, Gwen Stefani and her lovely Scarlett lips, or our beloved angel Amy Winehouse and her bodacious cat eye.

I’ve just come into finding my own signature look. I had to really understand the products that I had and what I was using. I had to understand my own face as well. I had to find out what looked good on my complexion, skin type, and face shape. Lastly I had to know what feature on my face I loved or thought of the most. It took me while to figure this out. At first I started with eye shadow, when that didn’t please me I went on to blush but found that my cheeks bones are so freaking high that I look like a little Chinese girl when I smile...No need to accent that. Then I started in lipstick... and OMG!!! I fell in love. I never realized how much accenting my lips made such a difference to my face.

So, getting back on track… I decided that MY signature look would consist of a clean eye with liner, maybe a winged liner here or there J and any lipstick that I was feeling at the moment or a lip to accent what I’m wearing. That’s a quick rundown on signature looks and my perspective.

So ladies and Gents,  Share YOUR signature look or your favorite signature look?

Do I Blog or YouTube?

Most people would answer this question by saying, do both! Well, sadly, everyone doesn’t have the time to do both. I know that we like to see the first of the first from each of the people or “gurus” that we watch on YouTube or whose blogs we read. We have to understand that these people lead regular lives as well behind their cameras, blogs, and social media accounts. I’m sure the gurus would agree that social media is a job in its self. Video recording, editing, posting, revising, naming; then coming up with ideas, writing them down, putting them in order, writing clearly, making sure your blog readers understand and not to take anything out of context, taking pictures, tagging pictures, and making sure you are always up on the newest thing and all those special moments in time. Social media is a crazy little world all on its own. It’s up to each one of us how we relay our messages, reviews, and points to the world. I started out on YouTube thinking that it would be an easy breezy task. BOY…did I learn a lesson. Making videos are not as easy as they look. Having the tools necessary to make sure your videos look up to par and having everything you need in order to say a few paragraphs about an object, company, or person is tedious. The pausing, recording, playing, rewinding, remember where you left off…Ugghhh!! I could shoot myself just THINKING back on it. For some this is a thrill and fun thing to do day in and day out. Me personally, I find myself veering more towards the smaller and easier methods of spreading the word. I absolutely LOVE Instagram. All I have to snap a picture add a caption and some tags, and wahlaa!! I can do it at any moment, any time of day, and share whatever moment, thing, or event I want. I also use twitter. I am getting into some of the new social media outlets as well such as KEEK and VINE. But I said all this to say, I’m moving away from the YouTube rush and into blogging and smaller venues of social media that fit my everyday life. (Not like I was big hit on YouTube anyway..LOL) So make sure you catch me on Instagram: @choklatestarr and Twitter: @choklatestarr (or click the links) for my updates, hauling, reviews, and everyday shenanigans!!!

Love Always,
